We maintain two public gardens - the Community Garden and the Wildlife Garden.
Our Community Garden is the centre point of the village.
It's a place to sit beneath the Willow Tree,
chat with friends, read the newspaper, or simply eat your fish & chips and watch the world go by. During the festive season,
we will be holding a carol concert there.
The Wildlife Garden is more secluded, tucked away next to The Normanby pub,
adjacent to the secret door leading to our local baby hospice Zoe's Place. We are on the final phase of the application to get Lottery Funding and hopefully they will find in our favour at
their November meeting. If we are successful, this will enable us to seriously improve the design and landscaping of the Wildlife
Garden including beautiful ornamental entrance gates. This will be a lovely place to be enjoyed by all ages alike.
Local committee members maintain the gardens on a voluntary basis - feel to get involved.
We really want to see those green fingers of
yours!
